The webinar series on forest data and innovation, arranged by the Swedish Forest Data Lab, continues with a webinar on visualization.

Speakers from universities from Northern Sweden present projects and initiatives related to forest and landscape visualization. What data and tools do we currently have for visualizing trees and forest, how can they be used – and what do we need for the future?

AGENDA:

• Introduction to Visual Forest 2.0, Markus Korhonen, FrostBit Software Lab, Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Rovaniemi campus.

• Visualizing results from Heureka forecasting/modelling with Visual Forest 2.0. Lars Sängstuvall, Head of software development Heureka, Forest Sustainability Analyses – SHa)/Department of forest resource management, SLU, Umeå

• Development of upper secondary school forest machine operator training with the support of simulators. Carola Häggström, Department of forest biomaterials and technology, SLU, Umeå

• Short presentations from other projects and initiatives.
